Road Trip!!!

Today is the end of three.  We left Friday morning, and headed to Mackay.  We got there and didnt have anywhere to sleep, all the hostels were full.  So we called some in the next town and found one, so we kept driving another hour and a half or 2 hours, and slept in Airlie Beach.  The hostel was pretty nice, big room, 2 showers and a bathroom(or toilet as they say here, which us Americans think is kind of crude.)  People dont say I have to use the restroom, they saz I have to use the toilet.  Werid I know.....  We didnt get there til pretty late, so all we had time for was walk around for a bit, but thats ok becuase we will be back next weekend, that will be our last stop.  Early Saturdaz morning we got up and headed to Townsville/Magnetic Island.  We made it just in time for the ferry out to the island.  It was a really beautful island.  We had to take a 5 min bus ride to the part of the island that our hostel.  The hostel was a little bit of a disappoint, it smelled a little bit, and was pretty small for 8 people, with only one bathroom.  But we survived.  The island was very cute.  They told us at night that wallabies came out and you could feed them.  We were on that!!  It was only a couple min walk, and we bought some food.  It was so worth it.  There were at least 30 or 40 wallabies and they would come right up to you and eat out of your hand.  One of the coolest experiences I have had so far.  A couple of them would even let you pet them.  The next morning we decided we would hike up to the forts on the island.  We probably hiked a total of 7 km (enough excerise for the next 2 weeks lol)  While hiking we saw a couple wild koala bears.  One of them even had a baby.  It was so neat!! :)  The views from the top of the mountian was jsut unbeleiveable!  So beautiful!!  (PIctues will come soon I promise!!) After that we were all ready for the beach.  So we all went down and fell asleep on the beach.  It was really nice!.  Then tonight we headed up to Mission Beach.  We just got here. Its a nice little town! Way cute!!  Tomorrow Anders and I are going white water rafting.  No one else wanted to go, because thez said it looked to scary...haha! But I am really excited about it.  It is the one thing I am splurging on on this trip :)  I will update again in a couple days and post some pictures!!!  Have a great week!! :)
